When Jim Anthony was building his first Cliffs developments in the early 1990s, he had a simple formula for promoting them.
“We’re selling three things,” Anthony told the New York Times in 1993. “Climate, the natural beauty of the mountains and location. I want people to be able to see it and realize this is the heritage of the mountain.”
