The Cliffs at Glassy
With cooler weather slowly creeping into the region, and summer’s last days seemingly in the rearview, the member services team at The Cliffs at Glassy saw an opportunity to take advantage of the coming seasonal change – throwing a big bash for members of The Cliffs to welcome in fall. With this in mind, the inaugural Harvest Moon Fest was born, taking place at Glassy earlier this October.
The outdoor event was hosted directly on Glassy’s own hole 18 and quickly became a hit with both members and their guests. The music-filled atmosphere, supplied by the talented opening act Elliot Morgan and the headlining Fleetwood Mac cover band, Landslide, set the perfect backdrop for the evening. The bands played classic hits for members to dance to all night on the fairway.
The culinary team perfectly encapsulated the autumnal theme with delicious fall-inspired food and beverages. Stations featured smoked turkey legs, pear and gorgonzola flatbread, cider-braised pork sliders, and hand pies filled with delicious seasonal flavors. The fresh donuts and homemade apple butter, in particular, were a hit among event attendees, the delicious flavors pairing perfectly with an evening under the stars.
Members ate and danced together, mingling with old and new friends as they caught up over a beverage or sang along to old favorites. This communal spirit made the event particularly sparkle, as neighbors came together to enjoy time together and usher in a new season at The Cliffs.
Glassy looks forward to putting on this event again next year, with hopes to make new memories for members and their families alike. Events like the Harvest Moon Fest not only showcase the talents, flavors, and natural beauty of the region but also feature the foundational nature of The Cliffs, the unique feeling of camaraderie that flows throughout all seven communities, connecting members and to the place they call home.
